Seeking the Past
Mark your calenders. On May 23th. I will be returning to Gettysburg Pa. I can't wait to see what adventures I will find in this most haunted city.
Gettysburg, 1889: "In great deeds something abides. On great fields something stays. Forms change and pass; bodies disappear; but spirits linger, to consecrate ground for the vision-place of souls. And reverent men and women from afar, and generations that know us not and that we know not of, heart-drawn to see where and by whom great things were suffered and done for them, shall come to this deathless field, to ponder and dream, and lo! The shadow of a mighty presence shall wrap them in its bosom, and the power of the vision pass into their souls."

Former Colonel of the 20th Maine Infantry

Have been thinking of returning to Gettysburg myself. I always have enjoyed this very Historical and Haunted place every time I go there. Want to see Inverson's Pits. A place during the War that the whole front row of Soldiers went down from enemy fire at one time. It is said that the area is Haunted with the Spirits of those who fell.
We never could find the exact area where Iverson's Pits are suppose to be, but I also have heard that this is a hot sot for the area.
You are one brave soul!! However, I wish I could come along...but all I would do is scream every time something went bump! LOL. Why is it that spiders and snakes do not scare me, I can pick them up, but when it's something I can't see in the dark, I am terrified! Enjoy your blog. blessings,Kathleen
We are coming to Masanutten, VA in June and plan on visiting Gettysburh and other battlefields. I, for one, cannot wait!
