A little local Ghost Hunters

This is a recent show from "Ghost Hunters"
This episode was filmed locally at the beautiful Edgewood Plantation. Although I have not been inside I have driven by several times. After watching this show I may have to talk the hubby into a romantic get away weekend.

I have heard the stories for years and have drove by many times, but was not really impressed by the episode. That place is too busy with all the decor and confusing. I am sure it would be fun to spend a night though.

Saw that one - wondered if you had ever been there. Sure looks beautiful.

Patty,

My friend and I have visited many of your posted destinations as we live in Va. Beach. I've written you before, I believe. We've even been to Gettysburg. So thanks for some of the ideas you gave us that we would never have known of. Can't remember if you said you've been to Bacon's Castle. That's a nice place, and the ferry there is a lot of fun. We are staying at Edgewood Planation in October. But also wanted to recommend you visit the Samuel Mudd House that was also featured on that episode of GH. We went there on a day trip. That is the only place we've been that we had any inkling of an experience. We heard unexplained noises, and my daughter (when no one was behind her) felt her head get lightly touched. I 100% believe her as I was right in front of her, and her eyes grew wide as saucers. She's not prone to making that type of thing up either. My other daughter who visited yesteday with her boyfriend also heard noises in empty rooms. She also felt dizzy as if the room started spinning whe she entered the kids' room. On a tour before ours, there was a teenage boy who actually fainted in the house! We definitely plan on returning there and wanted to recommend it to you. Don't forget the Surratt House while you are there. Oh, and go the back roads around Washington. Pleasant trip!

Yes, I think a get-away is in order to check out this place. Would be quite interesting....

I was there about couple weeks ago to interview the owner as the house and its ghosts will be in my next ghost book for Schiffer Publishing. The place is lovely inside as much as outside.
