Eerily beautiful.

I used to have a book on headstones. Some were so elaborate. I need to find it to flip through again.

That first angel is stunning and I love the way she's just on the grass like that. Beautiful!

Cemeteries are such interesting places, it's really too bad that so many people are afraid of them or fail to see the beauty that you can find.

With any luck - if the weather is good - we're hoping to get up to Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford tomorrow after we pick up Amanda's friend at her college. There are supposed to be some really nice monuments there along with the final resting place of some very interesting people in Connecticut's history. I hope we can get there and the weather allows for some good pictures. What better place to spend Halloween day than walking through a gorgeous cemetery??

Gorgeous. And it just makes me all the more happier you won the Haunted Cemeteries book. I know it is going to an owner who is truly going to appreciate it. (And it has neat photos you'll love.)

Thanks for sharing these pics!

Another link for you ...

http://www.phenomenology102.northeasternparanormal.org/

There is going to be a paranormal convention in Gettysburg in March. This will be the second one. Chip Coffey, John Zaffis and other celebrities will be there. There is a complete listing on the website.

They are also going to be doing/selling tickets to investigations of these Gettysburg sites:

Farnsworth Inn
Eisenhower Farmhouse
The Jennie Wade House
The Civil War Orphanage
The Fairfield Inn

I am going to see if any of my "paranormal friends are interested in meeting up there ... let us know if you are interested!

Cheers,

D.

Gorgeous photos - especially the fifth one down. Awesome. I once had the great fortune to live two blocks from the famous Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. Once of those old rolling-hills-and-crypts Victorian sorts of places, with huge angels and lots of statuary. Got to go down into the crypts once!

The Elk photo was taken at a cemetery in Hampton VA. I forget the name as we found it by accident, but If I can locate it I will let you know

Lovely photos!

I'm not sure if you realize it, but you have a real knack for taking pictures of the kinds of places I'd recommend for ghost hunting.

Overgrown, somewhat neglected, or off-to-the-side graves are often the best to check for EMF and other physical evidence of visiting spirits.

Your photos are also lovely from an artistic standpoint. They convey the hauntingly beautiful settings... no pun intended!

Thanks for sharing them!

Cheerfully, Fiona Broome
